There are thousands of license plate designs available in the US, ranging from a Snoopy charity plate to one that tells everyone you’re a Texan scuba diver. While many of them are used to showcase an affiliation with a profession or institution, others are used to raise money for charity, and the most successful ones have raised millions over the years. At the same time, “vanity plates” have built markets worth hundreds of millions of dollars.
