Taco Bell Defy boasts four drive-thru lanes with a goal to serve customers in 2 minutes or less. So, does it deliver? A 2023 study by Intouch Insight and QSR Magazine found that the Defy location’s service time was nearly a minute faster than Taco Bell’s standard locations. Even though it failed to meet its 2-minute goal by 31 seconds, it serves Crunchwrap Supremes in a food elevator. We’d call that a win. And it looks like mega drive-thrus like this are on the rise, with Chick-Fil-A launching its own in Atlanta in August 2024.
