Americans spend roughly $200B a year on dating, according to Match Group, the company behind more than 45 dating app brands. In its Singles in America study, the group found that money was the biggest stressor for singles in the US in 2023. Today, an entire ecosystem of dating apps and online dating platforms exists to help you find “the one,” and according to Pew Research, a third of online daters in the US pay for a premium subscription.
